Brown Coir Fiber
Brown coir fiber is extracted from fully matured cocounts.It is thick,strong,resilient and highly resistance to scraping.The coconut husks are soaked in fresh water to soften the fibers.Dirts and wastes are removed ,dried and packed into bundles.The brown coir fiber is elastic in nature, which can be easily twisted into curls without breaking it, giving the fiber a permanent wave like structure.Using Steel Combs, the fiber can be straightened and to remove shorter fiber pieces.Brown coir fibers are typically used in brushes , doormats,mattresses and sacking.It is also used for insulation and packaging
The coir fiber is fed to the hackling machine in which the fiber is loosened, opened out to facilitate easy curling. The hackled fiber is fed to the curling machine in which the fiber is passed through the rollers and curled in the spinning machine. The curled rope is wound on bobbins. The curls in the coir is easily incurable, which provides natural bouncing action for the mattress, cushions etc
